Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) started in 1985 as a partnership between farmers, growers, and consumers who purchase a share or membership prior to the growing season. This provides the farmer with operating capital for production and the consumer with a weekly supply of fresh, healthy, naturally grown food from a local sustainable system. A CSA is a way for consumers to personally reconnect with their food producer. We ask that you volunteer your time and help your local CSA.
The CSA consumer shareholder will receive a weekly distribution full of fresh produce for about 25 weeks. A seasonal share is good Approximately May - October depending on the weather. All members share in the bounty of production under favorable conditions and also share in the risks in less favorable seasons. CSA brings people together around the heart of their fresh produce supply, sharing in the local farm food production experience.
