Looks likes SPRING might really be coming… A warm weekend sounds wonderful!
That should bring the new Asparagus up, and the fruit blossoms out!
We have cut hard from the greenhouse for the last 3 weeks… So we are going to give the greenhouse a rest
this weekend, so no distribution this Saturday the 27th. We watered the greenhouse and
with a sunny warm weekend we should have good regrowth by next weekend. Potatoes, onions, and leaks are here and ready to plant as soon as the muddy fields dry up. I ordered our first round of plants yesterday at Mensch greenhouse in Avon: 640 Broccoli, 320 Cabbage, 320 Cauliflower, 320 Kohlrabi, 160 Celery, 160 Brussel Sprouts. We will mechanically transplant them with the 4 row lister as soon as Potatoes, Onions, and Leeks are in. So, busy spring planting is just around the corner! Even though we are a little late planting I am so thankful we have good topsoil moisture to get everything started. Help is always welcome if you want to play in the dirt or just need a farm break. We are just about to our goal of shareholders, Thank you to each of you for your support! I am optimistic about our large production plans and our new Friends this year.
See you Next weekend
Sincerely, Sam and Heidi
