Dear friends and community shareholders,
It’s beginning to feel a lot like winter… All green plants outside are frozen but the greenhouse is toasty warm when the sun shines… Lettuce, spinach, arugula are doing great. We pushed the potato digger hard last weekend; we got about 5,000# dug and put in Quonset. We need move more potatoes soon, before they freeze. Our fall field work is complete and our spring planting plan is underway. We plan on planting strawberries, sweet purple asparagus and more fruit trees.Wednesday or Saturday we will have lots of nice salad greens, red and white potatoes. It sounds like we will get the Hutterite turkeys in soon, both roasters and smoked.
Next week we will send out our annual survey to get your input to improve our Community Supported Agriculture for 2015.
