Yesterday it was 110° in the greenhouse after we irrigated again. We will start our share distribution next Wednesday and Saturday with nice spring greens… 2 weeks ahead of last year. Asparagus is about an inch below the surface. Today we plan to irrigate it to bring it up. Rain would sure help as well. We plan to fertilize all our production ground today… I’ll use calcium soft rock phosphate-liquid fish and molasses. Weather permitting we plan to plant our potatoes on Good Friday… We could use some help if you’re available.
Tonight is our Earth Week meeting on campus. Remember our Family Farm event Friday April, 24th. New shares and renewals are still coming in… We hope to be done with our membership drive by the end of April. We have more brochures if you need more. Eggs and Chickens are now available to order, and we can also get some organic pork. Richard also has some fresh Minnesota wild rice if you are interested.
Planting will start after Easter
Hope you and your family have a wonderful EASTER
Thank you for supporting our CSA
