Our family event last Friday was a great success! Thank you all for the community help and support we received. Full planting is now underway: 18 rows of sugar snap pod peas, 2 varieties of cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli, brussel sprouts and 4 varieties of hot peppers. Tomorrow we will plant lettuce, spinach, arugula, oriental greens, kale, and chard. The soil temp has risen in the last week from the mid 40’s to the low 60s tonight. The forecast for this next week is in the upper 70’s with nights in the mid 40’s. We will push planting from sunrise to near sunset or until we run out of gas. Good help is always welcome! Our surface moisture is poor but we still have some sub moisture. We are trying to irrigate all our transplants the day after we plant…. They will be fine. All the new seeds we will be planting should start, but they will need ran after they are up. We urge you to pray for wide spread rain for our food production. After the frost last week our asparagus has bounced back with irrigation. We expect a good supply of asparagus, spring greens, and some radishes this week. See you Wednesday or Saturday.
Ps we still have a few family shares left!
Sincerely, Sam and Heidi
