The sweet corn is tasseling with ear silks coming out; the acorn squash are exploding with growth and blossoms. The tomatoes and peppers look good, the new plantings of herbs, greens, carrots and beets are emerging nicely. Today we tilled and irrigated tomatoes, and dug new red and white potatoes. They are really good! Tonight we had boiled new potatoes with dill, chives, and butter… The sweet potatoes have been cultivated twice and are starting to vine out. One more cultivation and they are done. Tomorrow we get 6 more flats of cold crop “packman broccoli”, 70/flat. We will plant those next week.
Wednesday and Saturday we will have distribution of new potatoes, leeks, onions, herbs and few radishes.
See you then
